Next Session - Friday 21.10.2022
Our body/minds are one and the connective tissues that encapsulate muscles, organs and joints carry within rivers of mind and your wellspring of Spirit.
Keeping physical tissues hydrated and elastic is enhanced with the techniques of Myofascial Release Techniques (MRT) which also increases healthy blood and lymphatic circulation.
Couple that with an intelligent Yin Yoga focus and you’ve a recipe to restore directional fibres of not only collagen in the fascia, also your mind.
Liberate good feelings and join us for regular in-person Yum Fridays

Yum Friday’s Q&A
What is Yin Yoga ?
In the context of a physical Yoga practice, Yang refers to the muscles of action in asana, whereas the Yin focal point is the connective tissues, your fascia, the spaces between the bones - the joints and ligaments.
What does a Yin practice look like ?
During a Yin practice we bring our bodies into longer durations of single postures. This passive approach gives rise to the opportunities of deepening breath, body sensation connection and inner awareness.
What is Myofascial Release ?
From latin, Myo implies Muscle and Fascia is the connective tissue that wraps, connects and protects. There are 3 layers of fascia, the superficial, the deeper and the visceral (which encompasses our organs) During our Yum Fridays we work with the places in the body that are over used &/or have tightness, to effect positive change in the entire organism.
What does a Myofascial Release practice look like ?
We utilise different tools to access release in the connective tissues and these will be provided for you in-studio. If you have your own myofascial balls, please be invited to bring them.
Does it hurt ?
It shouldn’t, no. High intensity is not the aim. We want to be in a state where the body can relax and where we can breathe. Curiosity and exploration are at the forefront of the Yum Fridays, encouraging a greater feeling of whole-being ease.
